Hello!
In May of 2018, my husband and I made one of those romantic decisions you see in cute movies.
We got rid of every tangible object we owned that would not fit in the trunk of our old Subaru, and moved our family 1,249 miles from Seattle to an island off the coast of California.
Why? Well, why not?
My husband took a job as a Food Service Director at a Christian family camp. And while benefits like health insurance are great, I was more interested in never having to cook or do dishes.
I mean… this is living.
And while friends and family may assume that my new perfect life is just one never-ending vacation, I’ve actually been faced with some pretty unique and difficult challenges. And since I’m fairly certain I’m one of the only homeschooling Christian moms with three girls under three on a desert island in California, I thought you might want to tag along as I conquer them.
You will get to know me as I post stories, but there’s only one way I will get to know you! Please leave a comment and tell me about yourself, what unique challenges you are facing, and what brought you to my site.
